I don't think Alex actually had any problems with his catch can (unlike James with White smoke), he just didn't find it effective. Could have been down to his hybrid turbo allowing a little oil into the intake system (only a guess though).

All worthwhile points to note for people to make an informed decision on whether this is a worthwhile puchase for them  :happy2:

Gray

....Absolutely agreed  :drinking:

I should add something to my Forge Catch Can review to that effect.

I would be interested depending on price, as in if the saving is worth bumping it up the list lol

Looked into the Forge Catch Can System after getting my car but price seemed high for what it is (although not for what it does) so went no further with it, then sidetracked by shiney bits, go faster bits and handling bits.  :ashamed:

Interested, but as everyone says...... depends on price! As someone who barely knows where the engine is, is this a relatively easy item to install?

Yup, not difficult to install for the average DIYer.

I think as mentioned they were designed on the standard remap and supporting mod route the "99%" choose, running hybrids amd excess of 300-350 bhp wasnt probably on the design format although should probably of been. from wgat iv read theres a lot of happy people runnung these things and shocked at how much crap they prevent from goinf into the engine

im waiting for james to inform mw when theyre in stock and more on pricing so will keep this updated and hopefully point towards the official thread for moree  info etc :happy2:

I think that if the Forge Catch Can system isn't worthwhile on a very very highly tuned/modded 2.0T FSI, then none of the other catch can systems will perform any better either. If you read my review you'll see that the Forge system components are very highly spec'd indeed.

I should add that having a catch can means that you will have to regularly check its contents level (easy via the Forge window) and empty it accordingly (also very easy). So if you can't be arsed to do that, it's not for you.

To be fair its what id expect from forge - quality parts
