Passenger side seat won't roll

Hi guys...

Iv got a 2008 mk5 Golf 2 door & the passenger side seat has stopped rolling forward for some reason it's stuck in one place iv tried messing around with it but havnt got any where with it...

Any ideas why its stuck & what's the way round it to get it sorted...

A similar thing used to happen to my mk3, try sliding it all the way back and then see if it goes forward, it used to work for me.

I think this was a problem a while back?. Something to do with a cheap little plastic catch type thing that brakes?. Cheap from dealers but a bit of a t**t to change.
ED35. Standard factory condition.

Hi

I had this issue the cable which comes down from the top of the seat has come out of its housing most likely its snapped.

YYour need to get a new one from VW for about £0.58, its a nightmare to fix

Thanks a lot guys iv tried yanking it back & forward but no luck it still stuck...

I'll try going a bit deeper into solving this problem...
