"Grip It and Rip It!"

You have just corrupted my mind Robin

That's what the Williams Sisters would do with your scraped carrot Robin.  :surprised:

I don't know the details but I don't expect that Wimbledon, being so typically snooty English, will pay as much as elsewhere. Either way, the big money comes from commercial endorsements etc and that's probably why Maria Shall-I-get-my-leg-ova is the world's highest paid athlete.

I much prefer to see a more feminine woman win Wimbledon rather than brutes like the Williams sista's. I hope Ana Ivanovic does well - She's lovely  But so is Julia Goerges.

For me it's about appeal and popularity.

Until a women's final draws the same interest as a mens, then yes.

....It's all about appeal for me too: I have much more interest in the women's tennis when Tsvetana Pironkova is playing! Saw her play Sharapova and she nearly won.

Apparently, according to the BBC, Sharapova is the highest paid athlete in the world.

Am not a tennis fan but I'll watch the finals though. Same with football.

I think Tiger Woods would put her to shame !

On topic!:

^ Ana Ivanovic helping herself to extra money from commercial endorsements.

She can play with my balls anytime

Does the individual tournament prize money actually matter that much? - I don't think so.
