Anyone know why my badges are different?

Hi guys, newbie to the forum. I purchased my gti 4 months ago but am curios to know why my car has its rear gti badge on the wrong side? It also has a 'golf' badge where the gti badge should be which other cars i have noticed don't have. Has anyone come across this before?

There was guy on here called Duncan who had a candy white import which had the same badges, think it was imported from the UAE though, not Europe.

Your centre VW badge, is it raised the chrome VW badge bit or  flush ... Difficult to see... If it's not raised, it might not be the original boot lid

^^^ could be a new boot lid as mentioned above. Do you have a pic of the front of the car - badges on there correct?

May just have been replaced as some 'little tea leaf' took a fancy to them! I think your right though the gti never had a golf badge at the back.

Does your car come with the interior alarm, it's on the roof lining above the b pillar inside the car. As some imports don't get the alarm

It could be simply the previous owner altered the badges around to suit how he/she liked them.

Most likely the prev owner added the badges, can't see why tho. Looks pretty bad
