Motorists across lancashire and North West England have found cars covered in a layer of orange dust.It is thought the phenomenon is due to a huge sandstorm in the Sahara last week which carried grit into the upper atmosphere. It is thought this dust has been carried north and dumped over many parts of England and possible a wider area of Europe overnight. The layer of muck showed-up on cars and appears to have covered a wide area with reports coming in from towns and cities all over the North West and the Midlands.
