Found out it was Tony Gilham that pranged the Gumpert Apollo. He is the UK test driver for them though.

....A friend of mine has got one. His daily is big white Transit van, always dirty and with lots of dog passengers. His Lotus Sunbeam is immaculate and only taken out on dry sunny days.
