aftermarket air intake
ukdub:
I have the Dbilas flowmaster fitted.
It isn't a quiet intake at all. In fact it is very musical in a harmonica kind of way. Some people like the sound some don't.
I have also a Dbilas branded heatshield bought through Regal, which I havn't fitted yet. Saying that, even after a good run, you can pop the bonnet and the metal intake pipe is very cold even above the turbo. Guess it is down to all the lovely cold air pasting through the pipe keeping it nice and cool.

I had the Dbilas, wanst keen on the odd whistling sound it made. And wuth DSG threw is into limp mode a couple of times. Must admin though it did seem to add a little grunt mid-range and like you say the pipe stays cold when I had mine on in the summer months.
Its said there is a fair bit to get from a proper intake on the TFSI but its finding the right one.
Interesting, you've put your catch can over near the battery - did you have enough pipe to do this or got some extra? Looking at that it should fit with the engine cover too.

Will do. It will be in the morning though as I work nights. Not got much time right now.
