i went to start my car to pick the kids up & it won't start-rang up vw assistance,they can't get any one out to out as thier computers are down-hope it gets sorted for the week end :

Have you tried phoning the AA direct as it's them I believe who now look after the VW contract.. :smiley:

just got of the phone-sending some one out before 10pm,its rac vw contracted to

My guess is starter motor solenoid wire snapped.

Its common on 1.9s and VW probably haven't done anything about it.  It happened to my Ibiza Cupra TDI 4 times last year!

its all sorted,don't know why but the battery was flat-put the jump leads on & it springs into life

i wondered that as well Tc but the  live for the screens is on the radio fuse
