Audio sat nav parrot etc...
« on: July 04, 2012, 03:20:26 pm »
Hi,

I hope not another boring audio post but im after some advise after literally days on the search button.

My situation is that I have a RCD300 head unit with NO armrest, NO aux in, NO MFSW, I would like to upgrade but to also have

sat nav (via iphone app), music from my iphone, bluetooth pairing to answer calls and ability to charge the phone + cd +radio.

I have thought about almost every option from upgrading to the RNS510 to buying the Pioneer F9310BT, but I cannot justify the £500+ bill,

now please correct me if I am wrong, but is this wish list all available from the Parrot MKi9000? I have kept researching it but my mind is full so I need some advise.

I understand ill need to buy a seperate wiring loom, but is it all a fairly easy installation or specialist?

Has anyone on here had a similar set up and opted for this?

I thank you in advance and welcome any advise.

I had the MKi9000 in my last car and it works very well.

Bluetooth audio or from the aux in lead which has an iPhone, USB and 3.5mm Jack connection. You get a little remote which i used to have next to the drivers window control but you can attach to the steering wheel with the supplied strap.

It is easy enough to connect but you need to get an adapter lead which cost me about £15 iirc. It took me about an hour to install it and that was routing the microphone into the overhead light as well.

Oh and you need to run a wire to a switched live which i found in the fuse panel at the side of the dash on the drivers side.

Thanks for quick reply, so let me get this right, It has an iphone connection, which goes into the bottom of the phone which charges(via the perminant feed) and plays the music etc... Is that right?
