New airbag as you said, then iirc new steering control module, a cruise control stalk rev g or newer (if you have cruise) and possibly a newer slip ring. There are quite a few people on here who have done it who can point you in the right direction

Had it done on mine,needed slip.ring and module,the air bag is different so you will need that as well

on my gti £300 for the mk6 wheel with airbag plus £115 for a CH controller from Eddie-NL

BUT I sold my old wheel for £285 and my old controller for £80 :)

So not too much to upgrade in the end
