No seriously, not sure what else we can do, other than maybe say we've clubbed X amount to spend on his motor, he can get it all booked in or what everm, and we'll buy it?


....He may wish to have the money spent on something other than on his car. Surely Rachel is the one with the answers to help this.

I think I'd be inclined to offer the cash.  It might just be that after having some time off work due to injury that the money could be better spent on things other than his car at the moment.

I think to 'us' it matters not what it's been spent on, we've given to support a valued member of the community and that support should be used in the most appropriate way to make things more comfortable for him in his time of need.
