Cheap car insurance and fuel prices being realistic.

and roads without potholes, summary execution of middle lane drivers and abolition of average speed cameras

Points for drivers with poor lane discipline (middle lane hoggers) under "driving without due care and attention" (4 points sounds about fair).

HGV drivers only allowed to use 1 lane on dual carriageways and motorways (No more sitting behind a wagon at 56mph while he spends 7 miles overtaking another wagon at 55.8mph  :fighting:), HGV drivers to be shot for driving at 38mph in a 60 thus ensuring they have a 1.5 mile tailback behind them.

Mandatory re-testing every 2 years for over 65's along with a medical test requirement.

Firing squad for those who drive without insurance.

UK Goverment to regulate insurance industry and allocate risk categories and limited premiums, thus having the ability the "Own" an insurance card which you need to provide (along with full driving licence) to anyone who you buy a car from (Thereby limiting/lowering the amount of uninsured drivers on the road).

VW Golf to have Active Diff (FWD) and at least 250hp, New Golf R to have at least 300hp and active 4WD and agreed some decent 4 pots and discs for those that drive fast  :innocent:

Monopolies and Mergers commission to stop APR/Revo trying to Sign exclusive deals with leading tuning brands to mark up for massive %ages for doing nothing take over the VAG tuning market  :happy2:

An affordable 2013 Capri, with exactly same body shape.

Based on the Brooklands 280, but I'd muscle it up a bit, as Ford did with the GT.

Fun Golf: 2016 mk7 R DSG 3 door. Work Golf: 2015 mk7 1.4 TSI GT ACT 5 door.

Having been a passenger in "Rusty's" 400hp Capri (Cosworth 4x4 chassis/nitrous with running gear mated to Capril bodyshell/interior) that would be awesome  :happy2:

For the government to be forced to actually spend the road tax on the roads!!

If they can't, then abolish road tax and combine it with insurance and have one disc that combines the two.

Crushing of any cars without the above that are found in use on the road.

Banning of any motorists found deliberately slamming on their anchors to get whiplash claims and falsifying claims.

Golf R gone.

A modern version of the Clio Williams type of car.

A really cool, small car that went well, handled and stopped good straight off the bat, without the need for mods.

Not necessarily from Renault, but you probably get the idea.

There was talk of a Williams or similar Clio from Renault to End this current shape of car. They had a competition out for colour schemes and said they wouldn't do navy with gold wheels but were looking for a fresh idea. Not sure if any special edition car ever came of it.

They've resurrected the Raider name from the Renault 5 and done a special edition Clio with Matt grey paintwork

Quote from: The Telegraph
Eating, drinking and smoking while driving are not illegal activities in the UK but drivers can be charged with careless driving if police believe they are not in control of their vehicle as a result.

Quote from: Highway Code General Rules 160

Once moving you should:

...

 - drive with both hands on the wheel where possible. This will help you to remain in full control of the vehicle at all times.

my understanding of the above is that any action not necessary to the act of driving (changing gear, indicating) constitutes a violation of the above and is therefore an offence (or at least that's what my ex-police officer driving instructor had me believe, tho i understand the wording "should" leaves it open to interpretation).

Yeah, basically it's not illegal. There are many things in the highway code that people should do, but that doesn't make it illegal if they don't...

I asked a mate about this (Who is a traffic copper) last year and he said in general they pull people over eating crisps/sarnies or drinking from a bottle/can but he would not pull anyone smoking as it would be very difficult to prove he was not in control of vehicle as smoking only needs 1 hand at most, whereas eating/drinking "Generally" requires 2 hands.
