New wing mirror
« on: July 06, 2012, 08:37:09 pm »
Anyone have any idea how much a new wing mirror with integrated side repeater costs?
Some clown has just smacked my passenger side one and he would prefer to do it through the insurance as he is on benefits and can't afford to pay to replace mine. :fighting:
So now I'm faced with making a claim for a new wing mirror as all he broke was the plastic lens for the side repeater. :stupid:

Be a shame to waste any no claims and increase insurance due to having a claim over a mirror,

He will have an excess to pay if he goes through insurance which will probably be more than the cost of a lense.

if all he broke was the plastic lense for the side repeater...just replace the side repeater?...

Aye,thanks chaps.
I was a little pissed off last night and didn't look at the thing properly before I started ranting.
I just saw the knocked in unit and the bits lying on the road and put two and two together and came up with 22.
I now realise that I just need a lens to replace the on that got knocked off and there's no point claiming that thru the insurance.I suppose I could even get some glue or adhesive and stick the old lens back on as it's still in one peice bar the outermost clip.

I've got some side repeaters spare if yod like them, tenner posted?
Thanks mate.I may take you up on that offer. :happy2:
