Dont forget to upgrade your brakes after a remap, the standard brakes aren't really up to 200bhp
Not going to take it of subject for long but i did a track day in my stage 2+ golf gti and the brakes handled themselves brilliantly. VW wouldn't have put them on the car if they could only just cope with 200bhp. more to the point if your getting the standard brakes to their brake fade point on the road I don't think that's going to be your only problem!
P.s always best to tell insurance as you never know what's round the corner! Maybe one of these people maxing out there brakes
My brakes can fade at 60mph
never had such poor brakes on either of my civics or my Focus ST. Perhaps some are better than others but the general opinion (mine included) is that they aren't up to the job
Hence 40+ pages of NQSBBQ and numerous discussions of upgrades.
As Robin always says, nothing wrong with a spirited drive, it's
irresponsible driving that causes accidents and you don't have to be driving irresponsibly to get brake fade (at least not with my brakes)
Seems like common sense to me if you upgrade the engine power, you upgrade that brakes to go with it?
All 250+ bhp golfs / scirroccos have stronger brakes so looks like VW are of this belief also.
