Following the basic settings in the correct order will sort that out.
It took me a few times when I first did mine... I'll find the link...

As promised, the best order I find is as follows, (I do this when ever I take the steering wheel off) using information from rosstech wiki (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Golf_(1K)_Brake_Electronics_(MK60))
1. ABS Module
- G200 sensor (lateral acceleration sensor)
- G201 sensor (brake pressure sensor)
- G85 sensor (steering angle sensor)

2. Steering assist module
- G85 sensor (steering angle sensor) - same procedure again
- Steering limit stop

If done correclty all your warning lights should go out and back to normal.
