« on: July 05, 2014, 01:06:03 am »
Looking to remove my factory xenons from my car and put them on another which is running halogen items. How easy/hard is this and is there coding etc involved

Any links or vids that can provide further Info?

Fitting xenon's to another Golf running halogen headlights requires adapters and coding with VCDS.

How are you going to cope without headlights on your car? Or are you doing a swap back with the standard headlights into yours?

Thanks for the links and info. I'll have a look over them just now.

I've seen another ED30 I'm interested in running halogens and my current car runs xenons so it would be a case of swapping them over in the driveway if that's poss.

If a car with xenons doesn't have headlight washers is that a mot fail?

No, if washers and headlight levelling devices are fitted, then they must work. If not fitted then they can't be tested so cannot fail.
