Just have to learn how to drive without a clutch now as ive never driven an auto/semi auto etc on the road before  :driver:

....There is definitely a learning curve in that it will take quite a few hundred miles before DSG all feels fluid and natural to you. It drives like an automatic only when in D-mode. Otherwise you can pop her into M (Manual mode) and shift gears at exactly the same times as you would in a conventional manual. You can easily override a D or S-mode by using the paddle shifters too. Also you can nudge the gearstick in a Tiptronic style if you prefer (I prefer the paddles).

The key to enjoying DSG is not to think of it as an 'auto' and to exploit its advantages. It really is the best of all worlds.

Sounds like a very nice car for a very reasonable price. I might pop into my local VW next week and see about a test drive as they have both a manual and DSG there. Like you i have never driven one before so it would be good to do a comparison.

Well i bought the car and so far so good  :happy2:
The test drive was more of a driving lesson as it was pretty weird with no clutch pedal, but after 150 mile trip home im getting used to it and think the car is excellent so far!
Its comfy and handles well feeling very planted to the road and goes well to
Also came across launch control earlier - well i had to try it
