Small job just got bigger
« on: July 13, 2012, 11:35:21 am »
Decided to fit h&r springs to golf gti last night with the aid of a friend as thought it wouldn't be to complicated.
All was well until my mate decided to hammer through the abs sensor wire on the front side passenger wheel.  :fighting:
With springs now on have had quite a few lights come up on the car.

Yellow steering light
Abs
ESP
Tyre pressure (stills fitted as monzas being refurb)

Is it just a case of soldiering the wire back together and clearing faults to make my dash not look like a Christmas tree anymore? Will be doing it this afternoon when finish work thanks.

ABS and ESP will be for the same thing, they both come on together so don't worry.

You can have a go at putting the wires back together, try it, as long as the actual sensor isn't damaged and what not, should be ok to clear.

And tyre pressure as that uses the ESP system to detect a flat tyre.
