Tyre size and H+R springs
« on: July 13, 2012, 10:40:46 pm »
Tyre size - 235/35/19  alloys are ET48

H+R springs - 30mm

Now i've have had a look at the space between the arch and the tyres and it seems to be 30mm which 1 could asume would mean severe rubbing if lowered (please correct me if i'm wrong).

Does anyone have this tyre set up with H+R springs at all? and if you have any pics that would be fab  :happy2:

ive got the H&R springs and also just fitted 19x8J ET50 with 235.35.19 and the space is fine.

remember when you lower it increases the camber so it pulls the top of the wheel into the wheel well and away from the arch.

the whole set up is awesome. I didnt get to try each bit on its own so cant comment on specific upgrades but the WALK gives it great grip and cornering poise. The ARB keeps it nice and flat and the springs make it look good and dont make it too crashy or bumpy.

If anything it feels SLIGHTLY over sprung now on heavy bumps and you can feel the shocks struggling to control it compared to my friends H&R coilovers but then his were mega bucks compared to this set up. I could always upgrade to the Bilstein B8 dampers in future which would control things better but Im happy with it for now as a fast road set up.
