Newbie with a strange problem
« on: July 15, 2012, 02:02:43 pm »
Hi Guys and Girls.

Have just become the very proud owner of a MK5 GTI DSG Golf.  I love the car in every way except for one problem and i wonder if anyone can help?  The car has factory fit Xenon lights and I cannot turn them off at all, except for when set to sidelights, which will just have sides on.  Even in the Off position they won't switch off.  I have had it plugged in to a diagnostic system and it can't be reset within the system.  It's driving me mad and i wonder is there a system i've missed for switching them off?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

I take it there are no faults logged?

Might need to check the coding for the Rain Light sensor

Hi,

No faults logged.  I have no idea if the screen was replaced prior to my ownership.  It's just really puzzling.

Wonder if the headlights have been coded for DRLs...
Without traction power is nothing!
