Newbie
« on: July 15, 2012, 04:53:03 pm »
Hi everyone just thought I would say hi. Looking forward to exploring the site for some expert advise.

After owning many Focus ST's I thought I would move on and buy a golf GTI MKv and happy that I did.
So I have a black stock 5 door with 65K on the clock.

Only mod I have done so far I changing the front chrome VW badge for a Black one. Need new tyres all round as the owner before me put tyres called SUNNY on the fronts, the road noise well there are no words, the grip is ? Well there is none. Tyres only score 23% effective in the dry and on 13% in the wet.

Need to do remap, air filter change etc

So that's it do far. :happy2:

Souds like tyres are needed  :scared:  not sure what you have been running on them Ford's but I would recommend the Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2, but loads of threads on tyre choice, just use the "Search" button.

Whole section on maps, from the big boys, Revo & APR to the indie tuners (many of whom are members on the forum).
