Cruise control stalk - Stupid question

If i fit a Cruise control stalk but don't have it coded will the main beam and indicators still work. I have the stalk and will most likely be fitting it this weekend but it may be a couple of weeks until i get round to asking/pleading somebody to code it in for me.

yes. the other functions of the stalk will still work
