how do i reset it or do i have to unplug it and plug it back in

That's not good!
I would take it out and with it out, flash it with the latest firmware and hope that cures it.
Hopefully Rich will spot this post and give you extra/better advice.

I had a few problems with my polar fis and the only way to fix it was by disconnecting the polar from the the gateway and plugging it back in!!!!!

This worked for me. Mine stopped working when Darren fitted my RNS510. Just unplugged the FIS box from the loom and back in and all was sorted.

Well after unplugging it all and then reconnecting it it still didn't work,So i thought sod it can't be arsed and put the car back in the garage.Pulls the car inn the garage and it started working :signLOL:
