Which of these 2 tyres?

Neeed to get a set of fresh tyres asap and a bit off the budget side really, I found these two has anyone used these before and can anyone recommend them or tell me to stay away from it:

1) Achilles ATR sport

2) Accelera Phi

I have checked and the premium ones with around 3mm thread are going for around £170 for 2 which in my eyes with 350 bhp won't last very long, like the budget ones mentioned I have read reviews and they are fairly good and will last alot longer than 3mm of premium rubber, I can get the budgets for £120 delivered with 8mm of course

so your getting them at £60 a Tyre for 19's.

i Wouldn't hold your breath for any kind of grip lol

Maybe if you had better tyres on the front then stick these on the rear but then you car will get alot more rear happy

the Falken FK 452s mentioned above i had on my car. after 18k miles they still had 6mm of tread left on them! but compared to the CSC 3s i've got now their grip levels were dangerously low. as a comparison, they were about as good in the dry as my CSC 3s are in the wet. my CSCs also give me better fuel economy, they're more comfortable and they're quieter

i was just looking at those on ebay! Like i say if i ended up with no choice at all those falkens would be the cheapest i would go, but fingers crossed that never happens!

If cost is the primary concern and part-worn premium tyres are not an option then I'd take the FK452's over the other two. Have had them on a car in the past - tread is fairly hard but sidewalls are pretty soft, so they needed +4 PSI in them to make them feel OK but they were good enough in the dry and predictable in the wet (as long as I wasn't tearing around like an idiot). Noisy, but they wore well.

Might want to take a look at the Kuhmo Ecsta KU31 as well. Not as cheap as the FK452 but gets some good reviews.

With that wheel size and level of power I'd be looking at part-worns first though.

Whatever u do, DO NOT buy budget tyres. My stock 200 golf came with them, in the dry they were too soft and rolled a lot. In the wet they were dangerous and generally made the cars grip feel pants. Extremely bad.

Best thing I did was get PS3s fitted, u say u have 350hp? Wouldn't even think about budgets if I was u

this exactly!!

no way you should put 300+ bhp through budget tyres.

I have 4 x 235/30/19 goodyear f1 assyms for sale if you are interested  :grin: :happy2:

Don't get the accelera tyres as they are crap and even worse in the wet,as the braking distance you need is
70 yards more than a remould tyres

Well I definately wont be getting those then, FK452 are similar priced to the toyo proxes t1 sport so if i am to go for it then it would be toyo.
