Need coilies back in my life, but which ones?????
« on: July 18, 2012, 09:30:47 pm »
Need some coilies back in my life as the car just doesn't sit low enough for my liking. I am currently on bilstein b12's and i love the comfort as its as near stock as can be imo. Can anyone suggest anything, has anyone ever tried the fk silverline x's? They are adjustable height and damping and come in at £730. My budget is 1k. Cheers Gaz

I can do you some Bilstein B14's with £240 change out of your 1k budget.

Your budget doesn't quite stretch to Bilstein B16 PSS10's, but you could go for B14's.
Golf R gone.

Yes, been looking at the billies. Whats the fixed ride like on them. Do you reckon the fixed comfort level wouldnbe the same as the b12's

They drive 100% identically to the B12. Only difference is the height adjustment.

Hi pal, I have some KW V3's from VW Racing which are fully adjustable bump and rebound. They have covered 1000 miles so as you can imagine are like new. The ride quality is really comfortable and smooth when set on full soft, or if you want to, you can tweak the settings if you want some fun. They are an excellent set of coilys and looking for £900. Let me know if you are interested and I will get some pics up for you. Cost £1450 new and as I say hardly used.

I don't deal with KW stuff, but do the V3's have separate bump and rebound adjustment, or is it all done on one adjuster?

Hi pal, yes they on the new Vw Racing V3's they do anyways. They have a really easy proper dial on the bottom with 16 clicks for bump and a small Allen key on top for the rebound adjustment. :happy2:
