drop drive shafts
« on: July 19, 2012, 10:45:29 am »
Just need a quick bit of help  :innocent:

To drop the drive shafts from the gearbox,  do you need to undo the 3 ball joint bolts?  and just the nuts around the shaft?

or is there another way?

cheers

The nuts around the shaft will need specialist removal mate and lots of anaesthetic. Though why you would want to remove the nuts from the shaft in the 1st place is beyond me. Dont they work properly???(sorry mate couldn't resist)

Yeah just remove the 6 bolts from the gearbox end, then the the ball joints on the 3 nuts.  This gives enough clearance.
