98k miles on a 2007 GT TDi - too high?

Perusing Autotrader in my search for a 2007 Gt TDi i found this. I see heated seats, Dual Zone Aircon and highline cluster so from a toys perspective it ticks the boxes but is 98k miles too high to consider for a 2007 2.0 GT TDi golf?

With that sort of mileage its almost certainly been sat on the motorway for the majority of its life. Should be fine as andy says, providing the service schedule has been adhered to.

Thats what i'm thinking.

Looking at three at the moment, both 140 and 170 and i'm not sure which to go for. At the moment the 140bhp is winning.

170 have the dreaded DPF... which can cause problems. I would go for the 140 too.

Nah I will hit 100k this year I think in mine or at least some time next year  cars are for driving

I'm at 102k since 2005. It's a Volkswagen. As said, servicing and care is the key.

My 2006 gt tdi is on 112000 and still going strong. Along as its been serviced through its life it should be fine.

The 140 is meant to be more tuneable than 170 due to dpf.

Think cam belts are due around 60000, so check that was done too.

i have a 140 gttdi with 120,000 on the clock always been serviced and cared for and still feels the same as the day i bought it,great car

honestly,it still even feels newish when i get inside still,well my little bit does,where the 3 kids are in the back is a different story haha.but in all honesty the only damage theyve done is break the rear cupholder,cheap fix.the car as been like a tank

I got my 2008 TDI with outstanding vw s/h 97k on clock. Test drove 2, one my 97k and another with 53k on clock (part s/h). The one with full vw s/h felt like brand new car comparing to one with half miles and part s/h. Went for high miler and never regretted it, already 1 year of motoring and no issues so far. Just did few oil changes in 5k miles. Car still feels like new.

Had a test drive of the Golf afterwork today and all in all it is in excellent condition APART from the loud Police Siren whine. When i say loud i mean LOUD turbo whine! The car comes with 12 months warranty from Customer direct so if the turbo did go it would apparently be covered under the warranty. After only 2 minutes searching online it seems Customer Protect Warranty are a bunch of shysters notorious for declining warranty claims left right and centre.

Looks like the hunt for a car continues :(
