I had 19" on mine and found the ride a bit hard so would have liked the ACC had a Scirocco R which has it as STD and found myself using the Comfort mode most of the time (although I am getting near 50 now so do appreciate the extra comforts)

Hi Chris ,   I am 48 and just can't decide , I think I will be keeping this for a while and handing it down to one of our boys ,I don't want anything that could be problematic and costly outside of VW  Warranty  ACC is something I was wary off also leaking Sunroofs.

Hi Paul
Didn't realise it was you at first but now remember you telling me the spec earlier. Think with all Modern Cars thought of anything going wrong out of warranty is frightening but I think a well looked after example (like yours will be) any problems are usually going to occur early on plus you could always extend the warranty if your thinking of keeping it that long.

You can extend the 100% factory warranty when you pay for your new car.  £205 gets you a 4th year or £490 gets you a 4th and 5th year. :happy2:  Oh and get a sunroof, I have really missed having one on my last 2 cars.

Another vote for the sunroof from me, my Ed30 options that got ticked had the roof second tick after xenons back in early '07.

It really adds to the car in my view, especially a very few cars have them these days.

Cannot really comment on ACC myself, did test drive a 'Rocco with it on, was not that impressed, but that was only after a short test drive.

I tried rocco with ACC and wasn't impressed as I found sport mode best all around so would never use any other setting. For the price of ACC I would get great coilovers set from Bilstein or others and they would be miles better then stock ACC even in sport mode

Sun roof is great to have. I don't have one and miss it badly as my missus has on another golf!

Xenos mandatory!

My Ed30 has sunroof and I can honestly say its only been open 3 times in 9 months, its probably not worth having for your own use, maybe for re-sale "Premium" value tho

i would seriously consider dropping rns510. they charge something silly for it, Retrofit it and I promise all that will happen is you save a bucket of cash, Which can go towards things that you can't retrofit ;)

The only thing with doing that is that the mk6 golfs I've seen spec'd with an RNS from the factory have a shark fin aerial, where as cars that have an RCD have not got a roof aerial

I noticed that about the aerials , I also get 6 cd player and RVC included with the shark fin and RNS-510  for the £1780  minus 10% so the cost is £1602  , Nav unit £650  rvc kit £350 plus aerial and if I wanted it the 6 cd ,I think I will settle for factory this time
