I use 38psi all round on my 18" Goodyear Assymetrics...

....Is that based on any info from Goodyear?

Is more car weight and tyre size specific Robin, rather than brand to brand variation.

I just played around with the pressure and find that value suited the car without any wear problems.

^ The label on my fuel flap on my 06-build spec Mk5 GTI.

Thanks Robin, was your car supplied with 17 or 18inch wheels? Because the Ed30 sticker below is different?

Sure, I was just asking Robin what size wheels his normal GTI came with.

my mk6 is 38psi which is very high compared to everything else

its strange as our focus has 31f 33r and its heavier car

the ford handbook also has different pressures for 16/17/18" tyres and if its a diesel or not of if you exceed 100mph setting too.

wonder why vw didn't do this. 38psi for a mk6 across the board is a very general setting.

Robin did you not see my thread venting my disappointment in the Good years?

35psi for Goodyear F1 Assy2

....Why does this confuse you? - I ask because I run the GY F1 Asymm2's.

35 psi = 2.4 bar

Was running my PS3s at 32, noticed some wear on outer walls. Up to 35psi now. Hopefully that should help, does anyone know the official pressure for 18" PS3s?

Robin's car originally came with 17" rims.

I run either 36 or 37 psi, when a1 first fitted them they was 38.

Stupid question but if the 18's are meant to be 37 why does my local dealer always drop them to 34 once it's been in??
