Stock K03, stock cooler, BWA, cat back zorst - 340bhp??

Didnt realise GIAC was that good!

Curious to see your peak torque arriving at a very late 5250 rpm though. Not like a K03 at all

Read the title Lee

Ah but his post says running stock K03!!!

But otherwise yeah that is impressive, as it was something I considered doing on the old GTI.

Evening Guys

Just to confirm
Gaz'z car is running my old Hybrid K04 with the actuator backed right off so not to blow a rod clean out the the back of the block!!
He has S3 injectors, A-T HPRP, 3 inch downpipe (de-cat) and 3 inch VF intake etc etc
he's running a GIAC pump file atm with a standard GTI / Ed 30 intercooler & old plugs
We converted his car in quite a rush a few days before Inters this year, he did very well though and came third in the sprint results on Saturday if you check, this was with with two up and it's a manual car!!  (beat all the K04 cars except mine and a totally stripped car and we were both DSG)
This car does deploy its power very very well and it's a very entertaining drive, we will see late 360's before we are done with a flatter torque curve
Hope this helps :happy2:

Roller rockers Gary not cam lobes, seen this many times now but we sure do tend to get the harder worked cars in our shop
I think Dom's problem is due to the previous engine build been very below parr not over revs

You'll do well with the CDL its a good lump and will happily take the punishment  :happy2:

Yes I've got many K03 motors in the shop with rods like a dags hind leg, I'm saving them god knows why?? :stupid:
More power is readily available with Gaz's but his car is fast set uplike this, its sometimes faster than my 455hp DSG car with 235- 888's off the mark as his traction is phenominal! is a good little setup :driver:

Not bad :happy2:
Anyone happen to spot my broken white ed30 down there :sad1:

Yep, Steve has the head off and those roller rockers aren't doing a lot. 8 valves won't give you a lot of power!!

Golf R gone.

Diagnosed but still not had time to wip the cams out yet, not 100% sure whats caused this on Doms car yet, poor lad
