Dyno results with k04 on bwa
« on: July 21, 2012, 06:48:43 pm »
Went down to statllers and he was doing a few dyno runs so thought i'd join in. Didn't know what to expect really so pleasantly surprised. I still have to fit my cooler as i am only running stock k03 at the mo and still running stock cat-back. Also w/meth to go on at some point. If it eventually makes 360hp i'll be chuffed to bits, oh and went
In steve's loba'd golf, got to say that thing is monumentally quick.

Who's map are you using as IMO,your torque curve should really be flatter...

Giac, reason is it's been backed right off as its the bwa engine and dont fancy forking out for rods just yet. Although they are in the pipeline, we can wind it right up then. Tbh im really happy with how the power comes in as there is no wheelspin what so ever.

Stock K03, stock cooler, BWA, cat back zorst - 340bhp??

Didnt realise GIAC was that good!

Curious to see your peak torque arriving at a very late 5250 rpm though. Not like a K03 at all

Ah but his post says running stock K03!!!

But otherwise yeah that is impressive, as it was something I considered doing on the old GTI.

Ye i think i just missed you john. I think im gonna wind the actuator back a bit and see how it goes, problem is it goes like a scalded cat off the line at the mo and if i do wind it up it will almost certainly result in wheelspin
