....Each to their own, Rich. I have shown that I can take both razor-sharp photos and arty ones. Photography, whether of birds or any other subject, can be a technically pristine or an evocative image (or both) - They are both equally valid, imo. Do you not agree with that?

Yes, I would have loved to have captured my last posted photo as a razor-sharp one but I failed at that spontaneously grabbed attempt. But it doesn't mean that the result can't still be enjoyed for different reasons.

If you don't agree then please understand that I do respect your different approach and am not trying to suggest you are wrong - We are simply different in our attitudes towards photography (and music! but much less so about cars).

I am not being dragged into another debate robin. My point was about image stabilisation and shutter speed.

....I'm not seeking to drag you into a debate, Rich - I have already said that I think our individual approaches are different and each to their own and that I respect those differences.

You know me well enough by now I hope to realise that I am very open in expressing/sharing my views in what I post and don't expect everyone to agree with me.

It's just an open discussion prompted by the various images posted in this thread.

It's nothing to do with approach. I was talking about IS and shutter speed.
