Goldfinch after Nyger seed?
I've just seen a Goldfinch on my 'bird cafe' feeder too. You can almost set your clock by their regularity. It's Collared Doves time at around 5:00pm. Do you have any shots of those? - Very subtle but beautiful plumage.

Very nice........again! :congrats:
Am a fan of Doves Robin, we have two (named Gert and Daisy by my daughter some years ago, not sure how long they live but am sure it's the same two birds) that appear most days to clear the garden of all food and the other birds and they are (in their own way) beautiful birds. One of them spends an inordinate amount of time staring into our pond at the fish though and once even fall in, now that would have been a good photo.
:happy2:

....Are Gert and Daisy White Doves? I've noticed that 'my' Collared Doves are very peaceful and happily feed alongside all the other birds in very close proximity. White Doves are an established symbol of Peace. Collared Doves have only been established in Britain for about 60 years.
I have a small wildlife pond (no fish but Palmate Newts etc etc) nearby but the Doves only go to a bathing tray I have amongst the pond's surrounding rockery and never to the pond's edge. Perhaps if I didn't have a bird bath they would go to the pond to drink.

Stuffing its beak with sunflower kernels! Apart from the one bird feeder, my garden consists of a lawn and that's it!

A few more from this morning.. and yes, I know they're not all birds.
