According to Elsa Win, it's in the fuse panel in the right side of the dash and it's fuse No 4 (15a) but it controls more than just the reverse light.

M17 Reverse Light
J255 Climatronic Control Unit
G65 High Pressure Sender
E16 Heter/Heat Output switch
J530 Garage Door Opener
G128 Seat Occupied Sensor (fornt passenger)
Y7 Anti Dazzle Mirror
E422 TPMS
K216 ESP Warning Lamp
Z20 Left Washer Jet Heater element
Z21 Right washer jet heating element

So considering how much equipment is controlled by this fuse, I think you would know if it was blown ?

I have a similar issue - so thought I'd resurrect the thread to show I've used the search function! :drinking:

As a reminder my car is a 2005 / 55 plate K03 GTI and the [latest in a long line!] in problems;
* Reversing light has failed and has been flagged on the dashboard.
* I've checked the bulb and its fine!
* Reversing sensors work so I'm assuming the reverse switch works - is this a dangerous assumption? :ashamed:
* The fuse is fine

Please help! I've spent nearly £2k on car in last month and could do without shelling out any-more.

Cheers.

Alex

You may have just damaged the wire at CECM (central electronics control module) end - I managed this when I was retrofitting my fogs (long story).

Check to see that you've got current going to the wire in the boot lid ....
