Original Monza's and good Tyre's
« on: July 24, 2012, 12:25:40 am »
Hi all,

Im thinking of getting a new set of Monza's instead of refurbishing my existing set, as iv read they are not the best wheel to get refurbished.

So what i was wondering,  Where can i buy original VW Monza's?

And also, i want to get a set of good performance tyre's, so what would you guys recommend?

At the moment, the tyre's on are 225/35/18,

Should i stick with that or get 225/40/18 ?

Thanks a lot guys.

The correct size is 225/40/18.

Firm recommendations will usually be Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2's, michelin ps3. few people rate the vredstein sessanta's bit cheaper than the others.

Thanks,

This might be a silly question but when the eagle f1 are fitted, do they come out side the rim a little to give that kinda "flat" look,

I put a set of Falken on an older Golf one time, the tire seemed to curve back from the edge of the rim, which i didn't like, maybe i had the wrong width or something,

Thanks again,

Eagle F1 do give a good element of rim protection, as they have a large sidewall, ie flat edge that you refer to. They saved my rims on my old mk4 a number of times.  :happy2:
