5K0 bluetooth - star and phone buttons not working?

I decided to swap out my 5N0 kit for the 5K0 due to phone compatibility.
I have high line and mfsw. Rcd510.

5K0 035 730 D
Installed and pairs with phone.
Can make calls via rcd510.

Phone and star buttons on mfsw worked on the 5N0 module but not on the 5K0.

I guess its a coding issue but I cannot see any options for it in vcds.
I have set can gateway and steering wheel modules. Short press buttons option in module56 radio is off although it doesn't seem to make a difference either way.

I can't see any options in the BT label file that would apply and the adaptation settings are mostly in German so will try translating it to see if anything applies.

Also the phone book numbers are all messed up when imported to rcd 510.

Any ideas?

Still no luck with this.
I've re checked coding but must be missing something.
Star button does not even mute the stereo. It just doesn't do anything. Same with the phone button.

I asked a similar question and didn't get much of a response either. All I can tell you is that on mine, the phone button does nothing, but the star button activates voice control. I have tried various coding options, but no luck.

It works with the mk6 wheel in my car, not sure if it is the wheel or the CH controller that allows it to work.

My 5N0 and the 5K0 kit works with the mk6 wheel phone button.

Star button is due to coding

It also works on my MK6 MFSW with the 7P6 module,telephone and voice control buttons too.

Like Eddie says its due to the coding,my suggestion is best to try different codes.

I have the CH controller.
Phone button will answer in coming Call's. Should it allow you to make a call?

What coding should I try for the star button. Eg which module.

Yes the telephone does both answer and make calls,will get a scan on mine and report back.

Done a bit more investigating with vcds.
If I disable short press buttons I get a working phone button but the up down arrows do not change the radio station / track.
If short press is enabled phone button does not work but up down arrows do work.
Either way the star button does nothing not even mute.

Any advice on what coding required to get star button working?

Hi, I have the similar issue. Just replaced my basic BT modul to a new one, and since that time i can't control the Phone from the MFSW. Any idea? Thank you
