nah was £8 for 100 of them so will keep one of each in the car and rest in garage, good to have before I do the led's lol

Well I emailed the Bulb King Matt, such a quick response, and posting the next day! So easy....

Also, whats the best upgrade for the standard headlight bulbs.  Is it the H7s as mentioned on page 1, or are they only for the xeon headlights?

Headlight options... H7 bulbs for both main beam and High beam. I recommend Phillips extreme 100%. There is a review on here somewhere. I find them very bright and 'snow' white compared to the yellow standard bosh bulbs ;)

I just fitted Halfords extreme bulbs, meant to be 120% brighter to my wifes mk4, they are crisp white and seem very good, well happy with them.
also they are on bogof just now, £29.99 for headlight and £19.99 for main beam,
pig to fit in mk4 though, 2 hours it took me

I was shocked when it took me 2 minuets per side for each headlight  Mk5

my headlights wouldn't take 2 minutes due to them being oem xenons

Bloody pants... missing the Golf, and had a sudden feeling that i needed to buy something for it!  Then thought I would sort the lighting out! Feeling bettter now.  The woman will be puzzled when the bulbs arrive in post!  lol...

I can definitely vouch for the Phillips Xtreme bulbs, they're very good. Not sure if they are any better than the bulbs listed by Monte as I've not tried those in my car although I do have them and will be running a comparison between a few sets come the new year (when it warms out outside) and doing a wee write up.

All is going good out here at the moment thanks.  Slight lack VWs knocking about the place! lol.. The good old lady at home is sending my Golf+ mags out, thats the main thing.  And hoping she aint driving the Golf tooo much!!  She has her own lupo.  (sadly not the gti, which i wanted for her!)
