I bought my Edition 30 from a forum member.. Revo Stg 2 DSG map.He had on all the trimmings,S3 int/downpipe/milltec etc etc... The benefits to me were knowing the guy on the forum.. Reading previous posts on modification progress.. Posts on having work done to the car and costs.I knew more about this car than probably he did.. lol..Compare that to going to a dealer/garage.. "Lovely car this sir,2 nuns as previous owners"...
I had no bother in flying over to N.I with the cash, car unseen.

I think I'd rather have one previously owned by some old granny and mod it myself.

I'd have no problem buying from a member and it seems your only worried about the car being re mapped? Not all cars sold on forums have been mapped, just buy one of those! :happy2:

The people I work with say that they'd never sell me a car, but certainly would buy one from me... I don't know many people accept enthusiasts that clean/dry door shuts, wash every weekend (2BM of course), service more regularly than require, and if they are not happy with the slightest noise/thing, get it checked out asap and booked in to get sorted... I always go above and beyond with my cars, always have and always will... and that goes to the mods I carry out... always do my research and find the best bits I can.

Problem is I'd never sell a stage 2 car easily, and don't have the heart to take back to standard...
