« on: July 26, 2012, 09:14:37 pm »
Just went out in my car and pulled on to the dual carriageway and all of a sudden the car made a horrible noise and there vibration in everything pedals, seats, steering wheel. The clutch engages and still has a biting point, the gearbox still goes in gear easy, there still boost and car drive fine but a horrible noise and really bad vibration

Cambelt was done in november, all I can explain about the noise is somthing hitting rubber the noise gets louder the faster I go same as the vibration and if it helps with the handbrake up just lifting the clutch to biting point the car vibrates alot

When was the last time u had yr wheels balanced? If out, that can cause the steering wheel to vibrate, and pedals too if I remember correctly!?

Dual mass flywheel? Does the noise get louder with revs or speed?

I had one go on a focus diesel

It could well be yes it gets louder just with speed as when lifting off throttle the noise gets quiter the slower I go only thing what's confusing me its showing up on dash as an oil problem Hopefully my friend sticking it on diagnostics computer to see what the code is

If the oil pump is fubared then lack of lubrication can be deadly to the engine and turbo...
