Carbon fibre wrapping
« on: July 27, 2012, 08:18:54 am »
Was thinking of having a few bits done but dont really know enough about it to decide? I'm in north Yorkshire(scarbrorough)
Just wondered if any of you guys had had anything done and who by? And how it looks? Does is shrink back any? I was considering  maybe the roof and front grill and other bits n bobs
if anyone could give me some fed back that would be great
Cost? The best quality to go for? How long it takes? Is it ok to wash over? Does it effect the paint undereth?can
It be removed easy?
Cheers guys :happy2:
dpf out! Stage 2 remap.... Now it's gam'on!

Hi.

Get it done, looks good and lasts for years and then when you get bored, just peel it off. If your wrapping it yourself, go for 3M Vinyl. If done by a professional it shouldnt shrink back (not so you would notice). Can be cleaned along with the rest of your car. Wrapping your roof is about £120-£200, depending on who does it (they were the quotes I had). I paid £120 for the rear valance and front splitter. Don't bother wrapping your mirrors, get some painted in the colour you want from eBay for approx £70.

eBay mirrors

I have an ED30 and had my front splitter and lower rear valance wrapped by a local professional (in Sussex, I'm afraid).

Mine.

Hope that helps.  :happy2:
