MKV K03 advice
« on: July 28, 2012, 01:07:17 am »
Hey guys.
Just want to clarify some numbers.
I have a stage 2+ GTI. I recently got it dyno'd (maha). Results were 272hp. Is that all I can expect. My mechanic checked for boost leaks but there are none. I'm running 98 RON in Sydney AUS.
Note: the mechanic has a stage 2+ APR K03 MKV GTI getting 270hp. I'm a bit confused because revo have told me I should be getting 290-300hp on a K03.
Any comments are appreciated.
Cheers

Realistically? 270 - 285bhp.

depending on if you have done more of the unneeded mods like de cat, fmic, rs4 valve.

Mods are FMI, rs4 valve but that doesn't improve performance more for fuel safety supply, TBE with a 200cel cat, autotech pump, full cold air intake, Forge diverter valve. The car runs well but I can't see her getting 290-300?

Thanks for that. I found a couple. My car is making a bit more than there's so that looks promising.
Cheers

The peak number is relatively unimportant, post the dyno graph. After all, how often are you at peak RPM under full throttle?

This is when I was stage 2 only. I've since put the pump on. I will post stage 2+ soon.

And this is current stage 2+ on 98RON
B7T5F6. 272hp 396nM torque. We love our torque in OZ. I'm a bit shocked I didn't crack 400nM.

RUN 2

How do you run 959??
If I ran a 9 boost, I would blow a turbo and running 9 fuel would be a lean setting for me. Do have methanol?

This was the best setting after many logs. Timing pull almost zero and everything matches with requested.
I run 98 ron pump gas. No wmi.
