Couple of things I want to sort out on the car (MKV), one which is annoying me...

1. the centre tunnel/ centre console creaks. sounds like plasitc creak.
it's a similar noise from the cubbly flap infront of the shifter when pressing on it. but it's not that, as i tried to hold it down while driving and doesn't stop it.

what i have to reduce the noise while driving, is applying pressure on the centre tunnel/ knee pad bit, any advice?

2. nothing major, but the other half noticed a bit of corrosion/ water under laquer type worm effect on the rear VW badge at the bottom, only really noticeable when opening the boot. can this be replaced easily?

I'm afraid that the dreaded white worm can effect any of the rear badges and wheel centre caps.

Best to change it under warranty if you can.

read on another forum others have had to put cloth tape or unscrew the console and tunnel and put it back together better
is there a guide on how to?

its really not that hard.. just a ballache to get to some of the screws.. if yoru gonna do it make sure you got a bendy screwdriver is all im saying
