Back door stuck shut
« on: August 12, 2012, 06:35:20 pm »
I recently noticed the back right door playing up a few weeks back. It would unlock only after the other doors unlocked. But it would open/shut fine and with family/work etc I didn't have time to address it.

Now it won't open with either indoor/outdoor/both handles.

VCDS says implausible signal and door lock module faulty. I want to work out where the problem lies and I suspect t's the lock module but how can I take off the door skin if the door is stuck shut?

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

My rear passenger is currently doing this intermittently. I have a module to fit which I should do asap I suppose. Have a look at my post in this link about how I got my passenger front to open when that deadlocked itself.
