So woke up this morning a thought to clean my car and and add a few pics of what i have done in the first week since picking up my car  :driver:

First thing i done was buy some Mtec bulbs after a massive debate about HIDS  on a topic i started lol.. They do look better than the original bulbs but think i will have to save for some xenons. I also ordered some side light and number plate bulbs.

After i ordered these from gulfstream

Very happy with these, such a little mod makes :h a hole lot of difference. I dont know why the seat inserts didnt come standard.

De badge had to be done  :happy2:

Although it did leave a sort of shadow from where the letters were.

So i decided to wash, clay bar, polish and wax. i thought this would help remove it and it did . ( First time using a clay bar and wax lol. I used to just pay the turks £6 to clean my MK4 haha ).

Pretty happy with the result for my first time. Took ages tho  :signLOL:

Nexts plans were to buy some monzas, But im thinking the winter wheels will be on in a couple of month so i might as well wait until next year now. So i think the next thing is going to be back GTI bottom bumper and GTI exhaust ( If i can find one that is) Every thing seems to be down south way and people dont want to post "/.. Thinking of remap to but im abit worried if im going to get problems if i do.

Thanks Guys

Looks awesome mate.

If I were you I'd lower your GT before getting the Monza's.

The Classics looks surprisingly amazing on a lowered golf  :happy2:

Using the clay bar works wonders doesn't it? Please stay away from the hand car wash centres in future  :scared:

Thanks mate  :happy2: Yeah i think i will stay away from them now, it was just a lot easier and cheaper paying £6 lol,  i was thinking of lowering in but my friend had a mk4 lowered on coils and it was so uncomfortable so i havnt gave it much thought. I know they do look 1000x better lower.

Yeah the clay bar was excellent, how often are you supposed to clay ?

Looks a million times better now its been clayed. I do mine whenever its looking / feeling grubby. Think iv only done mine about 4-5 times in a year or so. You dont need to lower it on coilovers, got springs on mine at the moment!

Like Joe said....just get some quality lowering springs, like H&R's or Eibachs  :notworthy:

They are progressively wound springs and they stiffen up when cornering etc

Hey mate, how come you went for the better m tech bulbs rather than HID's, and or why do you want to go for xenons rather than HID's

The springs are great. Iv got H&R ones with a healthy drop, not 100% sure of the actual drop. I took some pics, have a look on my build thread and they should be on there somewhere

Hi

I asked people on here the question... I gathered people dont like HID's, ( they blind people, could fail mot with the beam pattern e.g) Someone recommended the MTECHs and they were only £11 so i thought i would give them a try... They do look loads better but i would like Xenons one day.

I'd say H&R's everytime!!!!!

Probably because I haven't tried the Eibachs  :ashamed:

H&R's are a bit more expensive though.

.....there are LOTS of previous threads on this subject!

H&Rs get the vote from me too! How much were the seat inserts and foot rest?

You won't go far wrong with either eibach or h&r.

H&r drop ever so slightly lower however are marginally harsher.

Eibach (sport lines) are very very similar but ever so slightly higher but slightly more comfortable and are about £50 cheaper.

As mentioned earlier they are both bloody brilliant. Just watch out for the Pro Sport eibachs. They lower the car a gnat's bollock and are pointless IMO.  :happy2:
