Nadlad Touran Sport
« on: August 06, 2012, 03:40:56 am »
Picked this up a while ago its a 140 tornado red 20k gt sport usual spec plus dual zone.

After much research and consultation I felt the 140 offered more in terms of reliability and economy.

Since ave added

Mk6 mfsw
Cruise
RNS H
Fiscon
r32 leathers, wheels and silver trims
Arm rest
R32 Xenons

Need to fit my reverse camera next lol

Looking for a eddy 30  front valance and  want to fit gti rear balance with the colour coded section.

Prob go for either carbon chip tuning remap or r tech still undecided

Happy days love the motor wasn't keen on red but it's grown on me

Thanks

Nice mods you have added :)
Do the mk6 air bag use the same connector as the mk5?

been a while since i did an update but ave done lots

first i tidied up the interior i added TPMS and wired up the xenons i also got folding mirrors and RVC camera installed cheers eddie and lastly the rear fottwell lights again cheers eddie.

then i moved to the audio i met up with squeekuk (louis) great guy did a terrific install

I installed focal VR3 components, 800W AB Hertz Amp and 10'' Subwoofer from the group buy a complete and professional install all wiring through oem position nice door adapters etc made a clean tidy install all in all.

Door skin removed and deadened...

Speaker adapters cut  to perfection

test fit

And mounted with the crossovers...

And finally

I had some really bad door card vibrations and resonance from the passenger side so i bought more skinz sound deadening and deadened the door card this has signifactly reduced road noise and killed the door card vibrations however i still have a tiny bit of speaker resonance which is annoyng and only heard by me ....

Next stage was to sort out the exterior

I managed to get hold of an edition 30 front valance it was cracked but my bodyshop are simply superb they repaired and painted it two tone as if to say it was brand spanker  i then got the skirts and eventally found a rear edition 30 valance painted up and fitted along side the gti roof spoiler....

I also carbon wrapped the roof to finish it off....

i orginally had this painted but onthe same day found an eddy 30 so bingooooooooo

Laterally......

Final Exterior mods were to fit the gti exhaust and debadge...

I really hated the stock rear it looked like they forgot to finish the rear off however its now totally transformed the look of the car and finishes it off with the front....

My favourite pic

I also managed a to pick up a  full set of R32 Brakes with discs and pads for a ridiculous price
so am in the process off painting them brembo red the paint is from a caliper refurb company
who did my last brembos its quite a bright red/orange and is superb to brush on....

I need to get new pads for them front hoses, and 4 dust shields and were good to go...

Thats kind of it for now i think i have done most of the mods i set out to do i have a carbon chip tuning remap booked for monday so a nice smooth mild map will iron out the kinks.... ave read horror stories on the turbo so am hoping mine shoudl be ok carbon have reassured sayign that they dont max out but just a slight increase of around 30 bhp to 180 will do fine... bearing they run around 155 from stock

So far i have done

R32 interior + headlining ABC pillers and Dash trims
Chrome window switches
TPMS/ Bi-xenon shutters
Rear View Camera <<<<<<....................BEST MOD
Rear Footwell Lights - Led Interior Bulbs
Projector Fogs
OEM BI Xenons
Audio Upgrade - Sub Amp Speakers
R32 Wheels - Genuine
RNS 510 - Fiscon Basic Plus - Full FIS Clocks - Scirocco R Wheel and Cruise
Gen Edition 30 Bodykit - SKirts and Spoiler
Carbon 3M Scotchprint 1080 Wrap
R32 Brakes Front and Rear
Carbon Re map to be done
