Is it worth getting the voice control star button working?

Hi guys, have a version c RNS which has no star button (is this LCD?) and i have a 8 button MFSW fitted by Kalu yesterday. Is it worth trying to upgrade to the newer LED RNS so can use the star button or am I not missing much in terms of what it can add?
