I need to get mine done and I haven't had a quote below 450 I might as well just go to vw dealers 399
Golf 2006 tdi 140pd, dsg paddles,blue interior led lights,r32 rear bumper, cruise control,vcds,highline , r32 mfsw steering wheel, gti front bumper,miltek decat.

^^^ It's 4 years or 60k miles, whichever arrives first. This is VW's advice.

Costs about £400, indy should be cheaper. Try to find a VAG specialist indy, not just any garage as it needs to be done absolutely correctly.

Get it done ASAP, really ASAP.  From what you say, your on your original pump after 80k!! Price wise, £400 ish and your all sorted.

Just for info, I rang my local VW dealer today to price up a 4 yr service which is due anytime soon. My car only has 25k on so will hit 4yrs first. They told me as part of the fixed price servicing a major service was £259. Timing belt and tensioner would take it to £339 and worst case with water pump (which they said they would inspect and only change if necessary) would take it to £419.

Well for what i am getting done which is .. Long life service, a/c recharge and brake fluid, haldex for 4motion and i am going to be £387. Not bad that!!
