How to clean brake calipers

I'm going to have my wheels off soon to clean and paint the rusty hubs. I thought I would take the chance to clean off the brake calipers aswell and make them look bit nicer. Does anyone have tips for some way that is quite quick and easy for getting the brake dust and dirt of them. Any advice would be much appreciated!

You'll get good results with Auto Glym Super Resin Polish...

Meg's Hot Wheels works a treat - obviously when i'm cleaning my wheels some ends up on the caliper and a scrub with a long brush and rinse brings mine up a treat

Megs Hot Wheels is brilliant. But I allways water it down slightly

I cleaned the wheels well & brake calipers with very cherry wheel cleaner, removed the wheels and cleaned and sealed calipers with Werkstat prime strong then polished with FinishKare 1000P Hi-Temp Sealant.

They came up a treat and still come up clean without too much effort 8 months on

Cheers. Looking very nice. I'm going to be painting my wheel hubs in black though. What did you use to get the rust off yours? I've bought some wire wool pads and hoping they will be good enough.

Wire brush then wire wool then coated them with trustan rust treatment (a very old product i got off my dad)

Thanks all for the advice. I haven't had time to do my hubs yet, so I had a go at cleaning the calipers with the wheels still on. I used some Wonder wheels slightly diluted with water and this seemed to work quite well. They are looking much better than they have for a long time!
