Mk5 boot pop mod trouble. Need help

Hi guys new to this forum. Love this site btw.

Basically I want to do the boot pop mod where the boot opens u automatically with the middle botton of the key.
I have a MK5 1.9 tdi se golf 06 plate. Currently when I press the middle key on the carkeys, all other doors are looked but the boot opens, not pop out or do anything just the boot is able to open manually by hand.

Iv seen other members on here do the mod where it opens up automatically. I dont have VAGCOM or VCDS (both the name thing I presume) so I came to Volkswagen dealer and they said it's not possible even if I get the parts needed such as skoda gas struts and scirocco bumpers. Slightly angry as I want this mod.

Are the dealers right that i cant do it?

^^^^ they are wrong so ignore them! Yes it can be done. A fair few bits on the forum about it if you have a look through "search", here is one from YouTube.

Yes it can be done with the correct parts. You will need someone with vcds to enable it.
