G.I. - Possible Airtec FMIC Group Buy
« on: August 11, 2012, 10:14:48 am »
Hi Guys,

I have been speaking to Alan of AutoSpecialists regarding a possible group buy on Airtec's Replacement Front Mounted Intercooler. They are mainly ford specialists but looking to branch more into VAG stuff.

The Intercooler is this one;

http://www.autospecialists.co.uk/New-for-2012-Airtecs-Intercooler-upgrade-for-the-VAG-20-Petrol-TFSI---Finished-In-Silver-Product-1073.html

He says AMD have fitted 10+ units of these all with great results, and they are currently building a big bhp demo car with one of these fitted...

Price is £495 + delivery no doubt, but he will look at pricing for +5 units if there's interest.

Please confirm you interest below.

Thanks,

Dom

Looks alright that is it +VAT as well.

I have the THS but looks a good price to me.

Factor in quite a bit of Labour unless you can do it yourself.

Slam panel needs to come off so its a two man job.

I'm definitely interested  :happy2:

Looks the same as the THS/APR one. Is it the same volume and build construction as them.

Hey Dom

Bit off your topic, but do you think your guy would include the Twin spec in this group buy?

http://www.autospecialists.co.uk/AIRTEC-Twin-Spec-Intercooler-for-Golf-Gti-Mk56-20-TFSi---Polished-Finish-Product-1085.html

I've already got an FMIC, but would certainly be interested in this if at all possible. Sorry if this confuses matters  :drinking:

Edd, not trying to tread on your toes here, but can you get the FMIC any better than £450?

possibly, its difficult because when i start the group buy off i have to buy one! I'm cash strapped till next month at the moment! I certainly think the company im using will be getting a much better deal as they buy from them a lot.

If you can wait, i will get in touch next month and get the ball rolling. Maybe we can do a group buy for both together and get more numbers which will drag the price down.
